The Prime Time Big Band :: Big Band and Swing Sounds in Cleveland Prime Time Big Band

The Prime Time Big Band has been playing in the Cleveland area since 1976. In the band's early days it was known as the Richmond Heights Community Big Band, and was partially supported by the City of Richmond Heights. Several members of today's Prime Time have been playing with us since the Richmond Heights Community Big Band. Soon enough, the band began to play more on its own, and the sponsorship of the city faded into history. Prime Time continues to play for community events and also plays frequently for weddings, corporate parties, country club events, birthday and retirement parties.. anywhere that calls for dinner and dancing or an exciting big band concert with hits of the 40's through the 60's. The band commonly plays subdued background music to enhance a dinner party; foxtrots, waltzes, polkas, cha-chas etc. for dancing, and the big band classics for both dancing and concert listening. And, oh yes, swing music. Some or all of these styles are mixed appropriately for individual events.
